Feeling stuck? A baby step towards getting unstuck!

Sometimes I can't come up with a higher level thought, so I just play with this guy.  All of a sudden I am super creative and can think of 100 higher level thougths!

The Law of Attraction: You attract what you are; what you think, what you feel, what you say, what you do.  I’m a big believer that like attracts like.  So we want to make sure we are always attracting positivity, love and most importantly, abundance!

So what happens when we are stuck?  We have all been there.  We are in a funk we cannot shake.  We are super anxious, as if a lion is about to jump out of nowhere on us.  Or maybe we are catastrophizing something in our imagination and cannot break the all-consuming cycle of fear.  You definitely do not want to stay in this place for too long.  What do you do when at that moment you do not even know what positivity means, much less be able to start thinking thoughts filled with optimism and peace?  It is so hard to get unstuck and thus we often remain prisoners of our mind and emotions.  Yikes.

Here is a thought.  Let’s not try to go from 0 to 60mph in a second.  Apparently not even this thing can go 0 to 60mph in a second. This is what frustrates us as we are attempting to do something that is almost impossible.

I recommend one of my favorite lessons from Abram-Hicks.  The next time you are in that place, gently reach for the highest level thought you can reach.  Even if that thought is just an inch away from the thoughts you are having at that moment.  This will be a baby step towards getting unstuck.  Stay with this slightly higher thought for as long as you would like.  When you think you have space within you for more, reach for the next higher level thought.  Continue until you are out.  Here is how I do it:

  1. I am anxious/in a funk/sad/name it.  For example: I am angry with someone who I believe has “offended” me.   I close my eyes and feel my feelings for 1 minute (anywhere I may be, at my desk, on the train, etc.). This grounds me and helps me be honest as to where I am.
  2. I ask myself what could be a higher level thought I could consider.  It does not matter if it is just a tiny, small, miniscule improvement from where I am. I stay with that thought for as long as I need to (minutes/hours/days/whatever).  Example: This person does not always behave in this way (do you see how I do not even attempt to jump to “this person did not mean to say this”?)
  3. Trust that your body will tell you when you can expand to a higher level thought.  When you are ready, go to the next higher level you could consider.  Example: Maybe this person was having a bad day and took it out on me (again, still staying away from “total forgiveness and love, now!!”)
  4. Keep going until you get unstuck. Do not worry about how long it takes you to get unstuck.  Even if it is days, the important thing is that you are moving forward, improving your energy each time and attracting more and more positivity your way.

When do you know when you are unstuck?   When you feel GOOD.  That is what we are trying to get to.  A place where we feel good and can access all of the resources and creativity we have within us to solve problems.  You will be able to deal with the issue at hand AND subconsciously be sending out vibes and energy that will help you even more.  TRUST ME ON THIS ONE!
